Real-time access and analysis make HSE data actionable

The company was working with dss+ to establish a PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle for mitigating critical risks and reducing incidents. It then became clear that ongoing organisation-wide implementation required access to real-time data.

dss+ Approach

In order to maximise the value of safety observations, incident investigation reports and analyses in real-time, dss+ employed digital tools to capture deviations, incidents and more.

The dss+ team designed databases to capture data, provide analysis and generate insights early enough to be acted upon. In addition, a dashboard displaying all reactive and proactive HSE indicators was created and is updated every hour, with reactive indicators accessible to all employees.

The dashboard also provides intuitive visualizations and details about identified risks, and it monitors progress against investigations and action plans. What’s more, the database supports more effective audits and safety observations by extending analytical ability across information sets.
