Galp Energia, one of the most highly valued brands in the Iberian Peninsula, is extracting oil from four continents and delivering energy to millions of customers. In 2004, a highly flammable liquid, Naphtha, ignited, damaging other pipelines and igniting other fuels. No one was seriously injured, yet the incident adversely impacted Galp’s ability to perform sustainably in the future.
